The name of French President Emmanuel Macron also appears in new documents released by the US Department of Justice in the Jeffrey Epstein case.
In several emails and message exchanges, Epstein himself claims that Emmanuel Macron had asked him for advice on matters related to institutions, politics and science.
A 2018 email mentions a message that Epstein attributes to Macron on the need to reformat international institutions and cooperation between the public and private sectors.
Other documents also mention a lunch at the Elysee Palace in 2016, when Macron was Economy Minister, as well as a meeting mentioned in another private communication.
So far, the French Presidency has not officially reacted to these data published from the Epstein dossier.
The latter was found dead in prison in 2019, while he was facing charges of pedophilia.
