US President Donald Trump has said that Russia has agreed to a partial ceasefire to halt all attacks on several Ukrainian cities for a week, reports “Reuters”.
Trump stated that his request was due to the low temperatures that Ukrainians are facing, at a time when Russia has hit critical infrastructure, leaving many Ukrainians without heat.
“I have personally asked President Putin not to fire on Kiev and the cities and towns for a week during… this extraordinary cold,” Trump said.
“He agreed to this,” Trump added.
